RER Train System Map

Everybody knows how to use the RER. Except you. If the map in your guidebook isn't big enough, here is another one. It is highly schematized in the original, and slightly cropped in this copy, but it may help. A linear extract from the map is posted in each train. Coming by air, you will be concerned with the Blue line. If returning to Charles de Gaulle airport at the end of your stay, you want train B3 (Roissy) and not B5 (Mitry). Be alert.

Three landmarks, in order as you come from the north: (1) Gare du Nord is the crossover point between the Blue and Green lines, (2) Châtelet Les Halles (formerly the city's food market) is the crossover point between the Blue and Red lines, and (3) St-Michel (your probable destination) is the crossover point between the Blue and Yellow lines.

For those coming in at Orly: Antony is the crossover station for Orly on the Blue line. The final stops on that spur are the South and West terminals at Orly. There is a free shuttle train between the two.
