Pierre and Marie Curie's laboratory notebook from the summer of 1898

Pierre and Marie Curie:
Lab Notebook 1898

The Curies collaborated intensely in the summer of 1898 on research which led to the discovery (though not, immediately, the isolation) of two new elements, polonium and radium. Above are two facing pages of their lab notebook for this period, with Pierre's notes on the lefthand page, and Marie's on the right. Notice that they are neither merged nor separated. They are complementary.
