Warring States Papers
Text Abbreviations

The following list of abbreviations for major Warring States texts (and some of the standard histories) is printed in each issue of WSP. These abbreviations may be used by authors to simplify references and citations within articles, and in the concluding Works Cited lists (those using other than CA romanization in their articles may use the analogous abbreviation in their system without special explanation). They represent a minimum of presumed acquaintance; things that authors do not need to keep continually explaining to readers. See also the separate pages for Book and Journal abbreviations.
