Style

"Style" includes suggested usages and conventions. Our suggestions are meant to be helpful rather than forbidding; experienced authors will notice that they are at several points more permissive than those of other journals. This is intentional; we are not trying to make the journal look as though one person wrote all the articles, and we do not want to impose drastic inconsistencies on the articles in some scholar's later Collected Works which happen to have first appeared in our journal. We do aim for reasonably attractive and dependable published pages. Our suggestions in this area are the following:
