Tutoring Locations & Procedures

Most writers use the Writing Center on a walk-in basis. Writers planning to see a tutor are encouraged to arrive early to sign in. They should bring with them a copy of the writing upon which they wish to focus. If the writing is an assignment for class, it is helpful to bring the assignment description as well. Also, work may be brought in on disk (floppy, zip, or cd) because the Center has several computers available for use before, after, and during tutoring sessions.

Individuals may visit the Writing Center on a walk-in basis for a total of five hours a semester. If a student requires more extensive tutoring, s/he will be evaluated by Pat Zukowski, the Writing Center Director, and assigned an appointment time with a specific tutor.
