Teaching Grammar
The Writing Program at UMass Amherst is committed to helping undergraduate students here improve all aspects of their writing, including grammatical, stylistic, and mechanical aspects. We're also committed to helping teachers here embed attention to students' "grammar" within learning environments concerned primarily with the creation, acquisition, application, and testing of knowledge. Students concerned about their own mastery of grammatical forms and practices should talk first to their Basic Writing, College Writing, or Junior Year Writing instructor. They should also feel free to contact the University Writing Center for tutorial help.
