We get by with a little help from our friends......
We use donations to support events such as our graduation party. We also use this donations to bring speakers, buy equipment or furniture and to sometimes support special projects such as educational trips. In these tight budget times we are sometimes are forced to use our donor account for program necessities.
There are a few ways you can give to Women's Studies:
- Friends of Women's Studies was a group active in the late 1990's that raised funds for a variety of
purposes. Most recently funds from the friends group were used to support scholarships for students to
participate in a joint gender studies conference between UMass and the University of Havanna Cuba. To

- Alums of UMass receive phone calls from the telefund folks. If you decide to give to
the University you can earmark your donation to any program you want. To give on-line click here to go
to the Development Office. This is the way to go for
those that want to give with their credit card.
- We're perfectly happy to accept checks in the mail! We have created a form for you to mail back with your check. It's in PDF format and will tell us a little more about you.
PREMIUMS
Women's Studies has sent many different premiums to donors over the years....t-shirts, posters, mugs. We have so many regular donors (!!) that we will be selecting a useful small gift that you can always use more of.....blue pencils, purple pencils, purple pens, white magnets with a black WOST logo, pen holders for your monitor and magnets for your fridge or filing cabinet. We still have a few canvas bags left and send those to donors that give $100 more, while supplies last.
