The Upward Bound program is a federally sponsored educational program that serves high school students from the High School of Commerce in Springfield that are potential first generation college students and those from low income backgrounds. The program aims to help students prepare for and succeed in higher education. It provides individual tutoring, career advising, SAT and MCAS prep, college workshops, cultural enrichment and more programs that can help develop academic skills and motivation for students.
