The Rudd Adoption Research Program has been involved with the Treehouse community on many levels. Treehouse is an intentional inter-generational community in which elders and families with youth who have experienced foster care, live together in an effort to support the youth. We have helped plan and implement the annual "Re-Envisioning Foster Care in America" conference, served on their "Design Team" which is charged with creating a road map to enhance foster care and we have been involved in interviewing those who live and work at Treehouse in an effort to understand the value of the unique model Treehouse offers. Currently, we have submitted an article for publication in the journal of Child Welfare regarding the research we conducted about the Treehouse community.
