Initiative for Maximizing Student Development

The Initiative for Maximizing Student Development program aims to increase the number of underrepresented minority doctoral students who complete Ph.D. degrees and postdoctoral fellowships to become leaders in biomedical and behavioral science research. The IMSD program provides academic support, specialized multi-stage mentoring, state-of-the-art professional training and awards fellowships to support the recruitment of underrepresented minority students into doctoral programs in STEM, behavior sciences and public health.
