Faculty Development in Foundations

Faculty Development in Foundations was a two-year project started by the Center for International Education in collaboration with Al-Azhar University in Gaza, Palestine. The project assisted three universities in Gaza to assist their education faculty and improve the quality of instruction in teacher education programs. They plan to enhance their knowledge of creative, interactive and dialogue-based techniques to one-day use with Gazan children. A study tour took place in October 2012 that focused on observing undergraduate and graduate teacher education and courses at UMass.
