"Poto Mitan: Haitian Women, Pillars of the Global Economy"
Documentary Film Screening.

Followed by a discussion with the Co-director of the film, Renée Bergan, will introduce the film and take questions in a discussion.

Dorm Dialogue Series
The Women of Color Leadership Network (WOCLN), in collaboration with Residence Life, lead dorm dialogues all over campus on various themes that pertain to college students. WOCLN trained and talented undergraduate staff will facilitate these peer to peer dialogues addressing topics such as public health issues, social life on campus, relationships, politics, and time management.

Bring your lunch and come spend an hour or two socializing with other women of color. Take a break from your hectic schedule! Bring a friend and relax at our office! Come find support and good conversation! Drinks and snacks are on us!

"Where's Love 101: Creating and Sustaining Healthy Relationships"
A panel discussion with couples of different ages, races, and sexual orientations on creating and sustaining health relationships. This event is free and open to the public.

Body Politics: Open Mic Night
Open mic night with the members of the upcoming 2010 Body Politics Show. Audience members will have an opportunity to perform as well.

Body Politics 2010
An original production by and about women of color that explores body image along with other related topics. It is intended as an integrated experience to provide support, enlightenment and grounding for women of color. Participants are both teachers and learners as they share personal narratives with each other and the broader university community. There will be a talk back with the ensemble members following the performance.

Location: Bowker Auditorium

An Evening of Poetry
Need a break from life? Come spend the evening discussing your favorite poem with your community. Sit back, relax and listen to words of wisdom. What could be better than spending a winter evening sipping a warm beverage and enjoying the company of other women of color who are readers, writers and poetry lovers?
