Content Area Literacy Inquiry Group
October 2009-August 2010
This group of teachers meets to discuss issues of literacy in their content areas. Their goals are to create a time for teachers to participate in their own collaborative inquiry, and share ideas of how they currently teach literacy in their content areas; and to promote new leadership opportunities for WMWP members. Essential questions guiding the group include: How does literacy look different in other content areas? Are there common models and strategies--guiding principles, perhaps--that can inform literacy instruction in all content areas? They welcome participants from all content areas. Interested participants should contact Jack Czajkowski.
