Using Microsoft Word 2010: Certificate Series

Struggling with Word 2010 can be frustrating; knowing how to use Microsoft Word 2010 effectively can make work productive and successful.  People, who have been using Word for some time, may find switching to the new version challenging.  Learn how to edit text efficiently, format documents consistently, and create mailing lists, flyers or newsletters.

Pre-requistes:  Ability to use a Windows computer (including the mouse and keyboard), to create a new document, open an existing document, and save a document.

Sessions may be taken as individual workshops. Those who attend all three sessions will be entitled to one free hour of follow-up consultation after the last workshop.  You determine the content!

    This workshop familiarizes participants with theMicrosoft Office Ribbon which has replaced the earlier Word menus.  We also learn to enter and edit text, format paragraphs and pages, set tab stops, make numbered or bulleted lists, number pages; customize document templates for consistency within your department; preview and print.

    Work wonders with “Auto-Format” and “Auto-Correct”.  Conquer tables and charts.  Learn how to format with two or more columns.  Create a newsletter and break the document into sections.
