Violence In The Workplace

Violence is a concern for all workplaces; a university campus brings unique challenges in preventing and addressing concerns of violence. In conjunction with the Workplace Violence Management Team, the Ombuds Office, and the Center for Teaching, can provide a variety of different learning opportunities to preventof and deal with violence on campus. These may range from a brief overview of campus resources and practices to in-depth learning opportunities. Sessions can be tailored to specific audiences such as “Dealing with Disruptive Behavior in the Classroom” for faculty and teaching assistants, or “Dealing with Challenging Customers” for front line staff in customer service positions. Please contact Annie Mara at 5-5422 for more information or complete and return a Request for Services form.
