This session provides an overview of the steps involved in processing an award through OGCA, including: negotiation, acceptance, and key-post award management issues.

Course Objectives :

Participants will learn:

The general award process, including OGCA & PI responsibilities
Key issues in negotiation, including: export controls, intellectual property, payment terms, committed effort, etc.
Multi-investigator awards and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
Issues and processes for subcontracts under an award
Post award management, including: organizational prior approvals (OPAS) for changes, budget revisions, changes in committed effort, technical and other reporting, and closeout issues.
