This final session will examine various practices for monitoring budgets, provide an overview of the various fiscal support tools, share some of the many ways budgets are monitored across the campus, and finish with a case study to give participants an opportunity to grapple with a realistic set of budget scenarios. How to read PeopleSoft Financial Reports
How to monitor budget performance throughout the fiscal year
How to do trend analysis
About the various budgeting tools (BCS, Salary Forecasting System) and how they can be used to provide better oversight of managed accounts
Some of the different ways that MBU managers budget
Ideas on how to deal with challenging budget situations
