The majority of UMass employees participate in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Employees’ Retirement System.  There are a number of state rules and regulations that affect your retirement calculations and knowledge of these factors can help you make informed decisions in planning for retirement and participating in voluntary retirement programs.
