Student workers are a vital part of our workplace and it’s important to recognize their unique situation as both student and worker. This two-part training will give supervisors tools and strategies to lay the groundwork for student workplace success.
Participants will learn:
- The unique perspective that students bring to the workplace: what motivates them, what priorities they have to juggle as a student, what point of view they add to your multi-generational workplace.
- Effective practices and tools to orient, train, and manage student workers.
- Supervision practices and strategies for supporting and improving students’ work performance that include: giving constructive and positive feedback, motivating, delegating and assigning tasks, and disciplining.
