Every employee has a right to a respectful, harassment-free workplace, and every member of the workplace team is responsible for insuring that this standard is met. A disrespectful workplace decreases workplace productivity, work quality, employee satisfaction and retention; meanwhile, it increases stress, toxicity, conflict, and general organizational dysfunction. In this three-part series, we will define respectful workplace, inappropriate behavior, and harassing behavior. We will also discuss proactive strategies for navigating conflict and restoring civility in the workplace. Participants who attend all three consecutive sessions will receive a certificate of completion.
