For Supervisors:  Writing Effective Job Descriptions

Jobs generally are described in terms of duties, tasks, and activities to be performed.  Expressed in such laundry-list fashion, job descriptions aren’t much fun – in fact, they can be downright de-motivating.  This session will cover ways to think through and communicate the essence of a job in ways that guide employee efforts to accomplish university and departmental goals.
