Ezra Small

As the Sustainability Manager at UMass Amherst, Ezra Small works to foster a culture of sustainability by coordinating efforts for the UMass Sustainability Initiative. He is the Chancellor's Environmental Performance Advisory Committee (EPAC), which is the body responsible for reducing carbon emissions and energy usage on campus as well as advancing overall sustainable efforts at the University. Ezra is currently working on increasing recycling rates in the dorms, implementing a green office program, increasing visibilty of the Sustainability Initiative, integrating sustainability into the core curriculum, and working with committees such as green building, transportation, waste reduction, food production, and energy. Ezra has previously worked with the Delaware Valley Green Building Council, the National park service, Americorps VISTA and Student Conservation Association, and the climate Crisis Coalition.
