Food Safety  
     
 

Food service certification is required for many food service operations, including churches and temporary food establishments.  The Serving Safe Food course will examine all facets of food safety in accordance with national standards. A national registration and certification in food safety will be awarded to you once you have successfully completed this course and passed the accompanying written certification exam.


A $120 fee per participant will be charged to cover the cost of the book and the exam.  Payment information will be covered in first class. Pending approval, this series may be available as a one-credit course.

Managerial responsibilities for food safety
How to prevent food borne illness
The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) system
How to use best practices for purchasing, receiving, and storing food
How to properly maintain sanitary facilities and equipment
The importance of an integrated pest management system
