This CPR workshop, certified by the American Red Cross, provides employees with information about emergency response procedures. The training is designed for students and employees and is applicable to the workplace and the home. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certification card from the American Red Cross. Small group and classroom training can be scheduled for a particular job site or department by contacting EH&S directly.

*A $36 fee per participant will be charged for this session. Money goes to the American Red Cross to off-set the cost of class materials. Participants should bring a check made out to the “University of Massachusetts” for the amount to the class. Do not send payment with registration.

 
     
COURSE DATES : Option I: Tuesday, September 29
Option II: Thursday, October 22
COURSE TIMES : Option I: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Option II: 12:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
Course Objectives :
Participants will learn:
How to quickly assess the condition of a victim and apply emergency procedures
How to perform life-saving procedures including Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator
What to do in the event of an emergency
