Racial Diversity And Me

Racial diversity can often be a charged and sensitive topic to discuss. This workshop will begin from the premise that we are all works in progress and then we will explore ways that we can individually improve our ability to interact with people who are different from ourselves. We will examine racial diversity in four key aspects: knowledge awareness-about self and others; understanding of others; acceptance-beyond tolerance to respect; and behavior-self awareness and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with folks from different racial backgrounds. Participants must attend both sessions, participants need only register once.
