Who We Are
The Mary Vazquez Women's Softball League is a women's modified fast-pitch softball league based in Northampton, Massachusetts. Begun in 1976, the league currently has eight teams and plays from late May to early August. We welcome players of all athletic abilities, experience levels, and sexualities.

Softball Fields
Sheldon 2
If your team is scheduled to play at Sheldon 2 and it rains, call the Recreation Department at 587-1044 after 4:30pm and listen to the recording to see if games have been cancelled.

If your team has Sheldon 2 as its home field, you must contact the Rec Department to schedule practices: 587-1040 (ask for Chris). You can schedule two at a time. Be sure to pick up your slip before the practice. The office is open until 4:30pm.

Directions to Sheldon 2
Sheldon Fields are located right off of Route 9. There is parking in one of the lots or on the grass of the Three County fairgrounds. Sheldon 2 is the softball field set farthest back.

From 91N (or Route 9 West from Amherst):
— Turn left off of Exit 19 (you'll be on Route 9 W)
— Go under the overpass and past several houses
— A gas station will be on your right with a stoplight after it
— Go through the stoplight, and immediately after, turn left onto Old Ferry Rd (If you reach a cemetery, you've gone too far on Route 9.)

From Northampton center:
— Take Main Street (which becomes Route 9 East) out of town, towards (but not all the way to) 91 South
— You will pass the post office, Bridge Street School, and a cemetery
— After the Three County Fairgrounds, turn right onto Old Ferry Rd. (If you reach a stoplight followed by a gas station or 91 S, you've gone too far on Route 9.)

Ft. River Elementary
70 S. East Street, Amherst

If your team is scheduled to play at Ft. River and it rains, call Amherst Leisure Services at 256-4068, ext. 310 after 4:30pm and listen to the recording to see if games have been cancelled.

Directions to Ft. River:
— Take Route 9 East to Amherst
— When you get to the intersection of Route 9 and Pleasant St. in Amherst, go through it
— Turn left onto S. East St and go north for 300 feet
— Turn right into the first driveway
— The field is immediately on your right
