We made it until the end of September, though the idea had been thrown around for weeks. Finally, the day before it was officially October, my friends and I packed into two cars and headed toward a stand on Belchertown Road to find some pumpkins. Three miles, thirty minutes and seven $5 pumpkins later, we were back and ready to carve at my friends' place in Rolling Green Apartments. This was my first time carving a pumpkin, and, once my Ziggy Stardust-themed creation was complete, I wondered why I never had before.
