The lawn between the Old Chapel and Goodell was full of activity as the UMass community came together for Founder's Day. It was UMass' Sesquentennial, which means it was the University's 150th birthday! In true UMass fashion the celebration featured great food, the UMass band, and a nod to UMass' rich history. This came in the form of a 150-pound cake version of the iconic Old Chapel. This was also the launch of UMass Gives, a fundraising campaign for the Univeristy. People of all ages were sitting out on the grass enjoying the springtime. There was even a horse-drawn carriage taking people for rides. Happy Birthday UMass!
