Recombinant proteins will be produced for the following genes:

catfish Type I IFN, Type II IFN, soluble FcµRI (IpFcRI), IL-1, CXCL8

Monoclonal antibodies will be made to:

Cytokines and Chemokines:

IFNγ:Has been cloned and recombinant protein production is targeted.

IL-1:Gene sequence information has been sent to Kingfisher Biotech for protein production.

CXCL8:Protein produced by Kingfisher Biotech. Protein sent to LSU for bioassay. Monoclonals will be produced (UMiss Med Ctr, Jackson)

Cell Surface Molecules:

β2-microglobulin;: Protein produced; hybridoma screening and characterization ongoing (UMass Dartmouth and U Miss MS Med Ctr, Jackson). remaining mice have good response to native protein when measured on flow.

CD3 γ/δ: Protein produced and sent to UMass Dartmouth for mouse immunizations; mice not recognizing native protein by flow. Immunizations continue.

CD4: Protein produced; mice immunized; fusion re-targeted (U Mass Dartmouth); screening and characterization will be performed at U Miss MS Med Ctr, Jackson.

CD8α and CD8β: Protein production ongoing (U Miss MS Med Ctr, Jackson).

IgD: Protein produced; hybridoma screening confirms two stable clones (8F8 and 2C12). Contact Dr. Melanie Wilson for further information.

IgL λ: Protein produced; mice immunized; fusion re-targeted (UMass Dartmouth); screening and characterization will be performed at U Miss MS Med Ctr, Jackson.

IgLσ: Protein produced; 4 mAbs produced; contact Dr. Melanie Wilson (U Miss MS Med Ctr, Jackson) New fusion performed February 2010 to try to make IgG hybridomas; 5 clones positive by flow.

TCRα:Protein produced(Cornell); hybridoma production in process (UMiss Med Ctr, Jackson).

TCRγ:Protein produced(Cornell); hybridoma production in process (UMiss Med Ctr, Jackson).
