UMASS DRESSAGE TEAM UPDATE

The UMass Dressage team has qualified for the Intercollegiate Dressage
Association's National Championship for the third year in a row!  The team
hosted two home shows in a row, dominating the second show and in the process
claiming 5 of 8 possible individual spots as well.  UMass riders were champion
and reserve champion in the First Level and Upper Training divisions, in
addition to Champion in the Introductory level.  I have never coached a team
with such depth of talent, team camaraderie and work ethic.

The National Championships will be hosted by Mt. Holyoke College April 25-
27th. UMass will be represented by Lindsay Grigg, Jaimee Steiner, Hannah French
and Laura Coburn on team day.

Competing individually: Lindsay Grigg, Manon Scales, Jaimee Steiner, Lashea
Townsend and laura Coburn.

The team is also comprised of: Sara Parrow, Isabel Grassl, Alaina Oleson, Tina
Roth, Bliss Requa-Trautz, Kacey Holden, Maura Macdonald and Emily Meskun.
While not everyone can compete at Nationals, we would not have qualified with
out the efforts of every team member.

Please join me in congratulating ALL of them!  Most of the team members will be
performing a drill team demonstration during lunch at the Livestock Classic.
The created the performance for the fall symposium we hosted in fall.  It
really shows off their talent and team work- come watch!
