We are very excited to welcome our new faculty member Dr. Marcus Bright and our new Student Services Coordinator Emily Schneider.

Marcus Bright comes to UWW after previously teaching public administration and public policy at Lynn University, Florida Atlantic University and Florida International University. He was also an Administrator in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Office of Educational Equity, Access, and Diversity and a Student-Athlete Academic Coordinator at Florida International University.

Additionally, he was the founding Executive Director of Education for a Better America (EBA). EBA partnered with school districts, universities, churches, and community organizations in over 15 cities across the nation to conduct educational programming and enhance public policy engagement.

He has a B.A. in Government and World Affairs from the University of Tampa, an M.A. in Public Administration from Florida International University and a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University.

He is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post and has spoken across the country on a variety of topics related to public policy, education, and social justice.

Emily Schneider has replaced our much loved and missed Jill Dubnansky as UWW's Student Services Coordinator. Before taking on this role, she worked 20-30 hours per week for UWW as a student departmental assistant, while also being a mom, and also completing her bachelor's degree online through UMass Amherst. For her extraordinary work, Emily received the 2016 UMass Amherst Gerald F. Scanlon Student Employee of the Year award.

As a single mother of a 5 year old daughter, Emily really gets how hard it is to balance work, school and family. She has spent the last three years answering UWW's phones and responding to email inquiries with compassion, sound advice and accurate information. By witnessing UWW students’ dedication and perseverance, and through her own personal experiences, she has learned the importance of education and the positive impact it has on people’s lives.

Emily has an A.S. in Business Administration from Holyoke Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

We are so lucky to have Marcus and Emily on board!
