Donna provides academic advising support to UWW students and faculty. Prior to joining the academic advising team, Donna served as a UWW pre-admissions advisor and recruiter for over 10 years.
Donna's personal experience as an adult learner informs her work at UWW, and she is inspired every single day by the adults she advises. One of six children, Donna's parents could not afford to send her to college, but she didn't let that stop her. She took one class at a time for over a decade, all the while getting married, raising children and working full-time. After seventeen years, her hard work and perseverance paid off, and at age 35 she became the first in her family to graduate from college.
After six years of working full-time and raising her family - again, and taking one class at a time, she completed her master's degree in education at the age of 53. A strong believer in the importance of religious literacy, she earned a 4 year certificate in Education for Ministry that required an intensive study of Christian scripture, history and philosophy.
Prior to joining UWW, Donna held other positions at UMass Amherst and worked for the MassMutual Life Insurance Company in Springfield, Massachusetts.
