Time to register--beginning July 23!

Registration in Continuing & Professional Education for fall 2008 courses opens on July 23. As a new student in the UWW Individualized program, you will be expected to register for UWW 191G Frameworks of Understanding and one of the "reflections" courses during the first semester. To register, go to http://www.umassulearn.net/ and look for fall 2008 courses, then University Without Walls department. You can select the option to be billed in September to allow more time for financial aid or other financial aid arrangements.

Financial aid and >6 credit registration

Keep in mind that your financial aid award will be for a six-credit default. If you sign up for more credits, it will be adjusted appropriately after the add/drop period. Some students have mentioned that they had not been allowed to sign up for more than six credits through CPE Records & Registration and were told that "their financial aid award didn't cover it."

Be assured that your financial aid award, set for a default six credits, will be increased proportionately if you are registered for more than six credits at the end of add/drop in on September 15. I have verified this with the CPE Registrar and she was going to remind her staff of the agreement.

But if you are not enrolled for a minimum of six credits by the end of add/drop (Sept. 15 for fall 2008), your financial aid award will be dropped.
