Workshops

Interested in being a part of a show or, better yet, start your own show?  Want to learn how to edit videos?  UVC-TV 19 provides many opportunities for UMass undergraduates to learn about the video industry.

Steps To Get Involved

  1. Orientation.  Get a tour of our station and an understanding of what UVC does and is all about.  We're located in the basement of the Student Union, between Union Billiards and the Hatch.
  2. Membership.  Becoming a member allows you to take advantage of our workshops.  For new members, there is a $10 fee, and returning members is $5.  You must be a full-time undergrad student.  Membership forms are available in our office.
  3. Workshops.  After becoming a member, members are able to take our workshops for free.  These workshops train members in using cameras and edit videos.  Advanced workshops are available by request.
  4. Accessed membership.  After members have taken our basic camera and basic editing workshops, they will be "accessed" members.  Accessed members are able to take out equipment to work on films, news, sports, events, etc.
