Article 10 of the Agreement between the Board of Trustees of the University of Massachusetts and the University Staff Association Affiliate of the Massachusetts Teachers Association/NEA provides for the maintenance of a Sick Leave Bank for the employees covered by this agreement. Enrollment in the Sick Leave Bank is voluntary. The article is reproduced in its entirety on the following page.
Records maintained by the Division of Human Resources indicate that you are currently a member of the USA/MTA/NEA Sick Leave Bank. Open enrollment for the USA/MTA/NEA Sick Leave Bank is three times a year - during the months of February, May and October.

If you wish to donate days to the USA/MTA/NEA Sick Leave Bank or to change your status from member to non-member, please check the corresponding statement on the attached form, sign and date the form, and return it to the Division of Human Resources by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2003.
- Donate sick days to the bank, or
- Change your status from member to non-member of the Sick Leave Bank.
