The University of Massachusetts Amherst is celebrating the 150th anniversary of its founding as Massachusetts Agricultural College in 1863 following passage of the federal Morrill Act. The year-long anniversary celebration will include a series of activities and events commemorating this important historical milestone.

University Relations has created a distinct Sesquicentennial Celebration Logo that captures the spirit and theme of the Sesquicentennial Celebration.

The design does not replace the university logo or any other campus department logo. Rather, the Sesquicentennial Celebration Logo is intended to complement already existing university designs.
