AWP Award for Short Fiction
Since 1990 the Press has published the annual winner of the AWP Award Series in Short Fiction competition, now called the Grace Paley Prize. The $4,000 award is sponsored by the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP), a nonprofit organization that serves over 26,000 writers, 400 college and university creative writing programs, and 80 writers' conferences and centers, as well as literary magazines, small presses, and literary festivals.
