Each of the 45 residence halls at UMass Amherst includes the following security amenities:
- Peepholes (in individual room doors)
- Security cameras in building lobby
- UMPD rounds
- UCard access to exterior doors
- Audible alarms at exterior doors
- Remote alarm system
- HELP phones at main entrance
- Walking Escort Service available
- Fire alarm monitoring
- Smoke detectors
- Fire extinguisher devices
The following residence halls also have sprinkler systems installed:
