Specialized Units
University of Massachusetts Amherst Police Officers voluntarily participate in a number of specialized units which improve their accessibility and enhance relationships within the community.
Our police officers may be deployed in uniform or in plain clothes; in marked or unmarked vehicles; on foot; on motorcycles; on bicycles; or on horseback depending on need.
