Chief's Message
On behalf of the dedicated men and women of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Police Department, I wish to welcome you to the UMPD web site. It is my hope that this site will provide you with valuable insight into our department, its operations, and our role within the academic environment at UMass Amherst.
The UMPD home page has been constructed to provide you with that information which is most often requested of our department. Within these pages you will find information regarding our programs and services, UMPD news and initiatives, crime statistics, and our daily police log. Additionally, these pages will allow you to leave anonymous crime tips and learn more about UMPD's specialized police units.
I invite your comments, questions, concerns, and suggestions regarding our department and public safety at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Please utilize our contact information and e-mail directory in order to more accurately direct your inquiries and correspondence.
