Campus Construction
Several building and major construction projects are underway as the new academic year begins.  Please note of their proximity and use caution when driving or walking through or around construction zones.

West Campus
Central Heating Plant, Mullins Way.  This aesthetically-pleasing and environmentally-advanced facility will satisfy nearly all of the campus’s electric and steam demand. Commonwealth Avenue and Hicks Way should remain open at all times, but delays are possible.  Please drive slowly through these areas.  Access to Campus Center Way via Commonwealth Avenue is closed due to steam line construction; access to the Campus Parking Garage must be made via Holdsworth Way.

Campus Center
Steam line construction is under way from the Parking Garage ellipse in a northeasterly direction to the east side of North Pleasant Street.  North Pleasant Street is to remain open, but delays are possible.  Pedestrians should exercise caution when walking though the Campus Center area; please respect fence lines and observe walkway detours.

East Campus
Integrated Science Building and Skinner Hall Renovation.  The Integrated Science Building and nearby Skinner Hall Renovation are major projects forging new models for science teaching and research. Construction site fences have been erected south of the Worcester Dining Common between Thatcher Way and North Pleasant Street permanently closing the north end of Stockbridge Road.  Water line work will also be taking place in Stockbridge Road south of the Integrated Science Building site.

Studio Arts Building which will bring together programs currently scattered around campus is in the early constructtoin phase.  A site fence has been erected at the intersection of North Pleasant Street and Infirmary Way, shifting access to Stockbridge Road to the north side of the construction site.  Steam line work in support of the project is also underway on both side of Infirmary Way.  Infirmary Way should remain open, but delays are possible.

Butterfield Steam Line.  Steam line work is being performed on both sides of Clark Hill Road in the Central Residential Area.  Clark Hill Road may include a by-pass in the area, and delays are possible.  Pedestrians and those moving into area dorms should exercise caution; please respect fence lines and observe walkway detours.
