For a sans-serif typeface in body type:
font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;
or, in body type if a narrower sans-serif typeface is desired:

For a serif typeface in headines (H1 or H2):
font-family:Georgia, Sabon, Times, "Times New Roman", serif;

Make your site as readable as possible by specifying a type size that is neither too large nor too small. To make your site most flexibile for readers, create your site with scalable font definitions using ems or percentages, using a size no smaller than the print equivalent of 12 points.
