Newman Action Day
Students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, and extended community collaborate in the Newman Cafeteria to serve local and regional friends in need! The Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive culminates with the sorting, packaging, and delivery of roughly 125 Thanksgiving baskets to Amherst families in need. Drivers are needed!
Meanwhile, the Advent Giving Tree and roughly 650 ornaments are created (each representing a child of western Massachusetts needing an article of clothing this holiday season). Other opportunities include card-making for families and local seniors, a fair-trade coffee and chocolate booth (with samples), and some great food from the Newman Center Cafe!
All are most welcome to enjoy this festive atmosphere and day of "Social Action" for those in need!
