Veterans Weekend Quidditch Tournament
UMass Quidditch is proud to present a Veterans Weekend Quidditch Tournament! Teams playing include UMass Amherst, Emerson, Middlebury, Vassar, and Lafayette. See who takes on the victory for their team!
Quidditch is based on J.K. Rowling's famous sport from the Harry Potter series. The Muggle version was founded by none other than Middlebury College. As of right now, there are 200+ Quidditch teams worldwide, with UMass Amherst amongst them!
There will be two fields with two games going on at once at the Metawampe Lawn. Teams will play against each other round-robin style, meaning that all teams will have a chance to play each other.
Intermission events will take place for the audience, as well. Join in on Pitch-a-Snitch (similar to Chuck-a-Puck), get your picture taken with UMass Quidditch players, and don't forget to pick up some tasty snacks!
Admission to the public is free. This is a great event for the autumn season right before it gets too chilly! Grab your friends and show your school pride!
