Alumni Fall Legacy Event: Andy Warhol and Cirque Mechanics in a Birdhouse Factory
The UMass Amherst Alumni Association invites all legacies to join for a pre-show exclusive tour of the University Gallery's latest exhibits and viewing of Cirque Mechanics in a Birdhouse Factory.
The University Gallery is proud to present two cooperative exhibits surrounding the life and art of Andy Warhol. Connecting the Dots... the Warhol Legacy: Tom Friedman, Ellen Gallagher, Vik Muniz & Rob Pruitt and The Mixon & the Big Shot highlight the work of artists that were influenced by the genius of Warhol, as well as never-before seen Warhol photographs!
When world-renowned circus stars dream up a factory, it is no ordinary industrial plant. It's a wild and wonderful workshop where the machines are circus props and the workers are acrobats, dancers, contortionists and clowns. It's Birdhouse Factory by Cirque Mechanics, an extraordinary troupe of Cirque du Soleil, Pickle Family Circus and Moscos Circus veterans who transform the mundane into the magnificent.
