WGBY's Eco-Exchange: A Discussion on Green Jobs and Green Education
UMass Amherst's Dr. Gary Bernhard of University Without Walls and Dr. Simi Hogue of the Department of Natural Resources Conservation will appear on public television in a roundtable conversation on green jobs and green education. The thirty-minute show, Eco-Exchange, airs regularly on Springfield, MA's PBS station, WGBY Channel 57.
Watch to learn more about the green revolution that's occurring at UMass Amherst, as Dr. Bernhard will share information on the newly launched UWW focus area of Sustainable Entrepreneurship. Students within this focus area create a ready-to-use green dedicated business plan as part of completing their UMass Bachelor's degree.
Dr. Hogue will also discuss her work through NRC with Green Jobs Training, Ever Green (funded by a Healey Faculty Research Grant), Floodspace, and the energy-related courses offered at UMass Amherst.
Also joining the conversation is Alex Risley Schroeder, a green careers coach from the Franklin-Hampshire Regional Employment Board. Schroeder will share her expertise regarding green careers.
