Cultural Market

This will be the second year in a row the Taiwanese Chinese Students' Association (TCSA) plans to bring a celebration of Asian cultures to the UMass campus. The Cultural Market is an integral aspect of our efforts to bring an authentic recreation of the Taiwanese and Chinese night markets to UMass Amherst and the surrounding community. The event will kick off the Asian Heritage Month of May and celebrate Asian culture through cultural decorations, ethnic cuisine, Asian games, various cultural activities, and artistic exhibitions and workshops. TCSA plans not only to bring greater multicultural awareness of all Asian cultures to the UMass community, but also to promote interactions between those of various backgrounds.

This event is hosted by the Taiwanese Chinese Students Association in collaboration with the Asian American Students Association, the Cambodian Students Association, the Chinese Students Association, Lambda Phi Epsilon, Pi Delta Psi, the South Asian Students Association, and the Vietnamese Students Association.

This event is sponsored by the UMass Arts Council, the Alumni Association, the Student Affairs Cultural Enrichment Fund, UMass Dining, and the Yuri Kochiyama Cultural Center.
