"Be the One" Creative Art Project
"Be The One" is a benefit concert and creative art project in memory of Darby Fassett.
A member of the UMass class of 2009, Darby died last spring of an accidental drug overdose. Now his family, friends, and the university community are coming together through events to raise awareness of student stress and substance abuse.
Come to the Campus Center Concourse from April 28 to May 8, or to the Craft Center until May 21, to create art expressing your feelings about grief, loss, memory, hope, and recovery.
Artworks will be framed and displayed at the memorial concert, which will be held on May 8 in Bowker Auditorium, and in public spaces across campus.
