Exhibit: Group Dynamics
It is a given that artists need time alone to develop their work. What happens, then, when they meet as a group, share their work in progress, and discuss content, process, and ideas?
This diverse group of painters has met monthly at Hampden Gallery for the past half year. The group includes painters from Easthampton, Greenfield, Northfield, Leyden, Amherst, and Florence. Their painting processes encompass printing, collage, xerography, drawing, and traditional oil painting.
