Orchard Assault
The UMass Bicycle Racing Club will host the Orchard Assault Mountain Bike Race in the Orchard Hill Woods. Look forward to a fun-filled day with lots of intense racing! It will be a fast course with tons of single-track. The same course was run for years by the UMass team during the collegiate race series, and it is now open to non-collegiate racers.
If you think have what it takes to race, go to the event Web site for more information about registering to race. All levels of riding are welcome - there are race level categories.
If you're not racing, come down to watch some sweet racers ride faster than you can imagine. Guest appearances will be made by some of our coolest alumni, including Alex Duggan, Jeff Elie, and many more!
Directions & Parking
The purple parking lot beside Orchard Hill Residential Area, under the Observatory, is the best place to park. Walk up the dirt road to the start line, which is next to the Observatory, and you will be able to see the course.
